Ice time: 4:45 – 6:00 pm

Cost: $400.00 + GST

High Performance Hockey program is a multi-dimensional program that will focus on developing the complete athlete on and off the ice. It will give players the essential tools for optimal sports performance and help your child advance their game to the next level. VIEW THE ITINERARY

OFF-ICE FIT TESTING, MENTAL TOUGHNESS, NUTRITION & TEAM COHESION

On Ice Workshops Include:

  • 30 Minutes of Skating Edge Work
  • 45 Minutes of Highly Competitive Puck Drills

Off Ice Workshops Include:

  • Off-Ice fit testing & data to see where they rank amongst other players their age.
  • Hockey-specific nutrition – fueling for enhanced performance
  • Mental toughness foundation – providing the tools to address focus, anxiety, and confidence
  • Team cohesion – developing the skills to be an effective teammate

All registrants will receive a Player Performance Profile with their data and workshop assignments to refer to in the future.

Obtaining these building blocks early on in their hockey journey will equip them to perform at a higher caliber.

Off Ice Coach: Tara Wright

For 15 years, Tara has trained elite athletes, competitive teams, and military personnel, helping them achieve peak performance through customized programs combining sport performance conditioning, mental training, and sports nutrition.

Credentials: MSc, BEd, BA, CSEP-CPT, NCCP level 2 Coach, Performance Coach

High Performance Hockey Camp Itinerary

DAY 1 – Monday Aug, 19

  • Dryland: 3:15 – 4:00 pm
  • Ice Session: 4:30 – 5:45 pm
  • Work shop: 6:15 – 7:15 pm

This off-ice dryland session will primarily emphasize fitness testing, aiming to provide players with a comprehensive understanding of their athletic baseline. Through comparisons with a databank of other hockey players within the same age group, participants will gain valuable insights into their overall fitness levels.

In this combined large group session, Group 1 and Group 2 will come together to receive their player profile packages. Additionally, participants will be provided with detailed information regarding the mental toughness training outline for the week.

DAY 2 – Tuesday Aug, 20

  • Dryland 3:15 – 4:00 pm
  • Ice Session: 4:30 – 5:45 pm
  • Workshop: 6:15 – 7:15 pm

On day 2, the dryland session will focus on nutrition and its direct impact on enhanced performance.  Participants will be provided with essential tools to help them fuel their bodies effectively for improved athletic performance.

During the large group session, our main emphasis will be on pregame warm-up and post-game recovery strategies.

DAY 3 – Wednesday Aug, 21

  • Ice session: 3:45 – 5:00 pm
  • Dryland: 5:15 – 6:00 pm
  • Workshop: 6:15 – 7:15 pm

On day 3 the dryland session will delve into age-appropriate mental toughness lessons aimed at enhancing sport performance.

This large group session aims to equip players with the essential skills required to become an effective team player. Untimely enhancing their ability to contribute positively to their team.

DAY 4 – Thursday Aug, 22

  • Dryland: 3:15 – 4:00 pm
  • Ice Session: 4:30 – 5:45 pm
  • Workshop: 6:15 – 7:15 pm

This dryland session will delve deeper into the mental toughness concepts previously discussed on day 2. The age-appropriate strategies will prepare players with practical tools to develop mental reliance and performance on ice.

During the day 4 group session, players will have the opportunity to explore the challenges that come with being a teammate and understand the importance of conflict resolution.

DAY 5 – Friday Aug, 23

  • Dryland: 3:15 – 4:00 pm
  • Ice Session: 4:30 – 5:45 pm
  • Workshop: 6:15 – 7:15 pm

On the final day of camp, we will bring mental toughness workshop to a close. This final session will serve as a comprehensive wrap-up, reinforcing the key concepts and strategies discussed throughout the workshop.
